Formed in 1995, Conjunto Sabroso is one of the most original Latin Bands to have emerged in the UK today. This 10 piece band led by charismatic female vocalist Luz Elena Caicedo, plays with a deep authentic swing and with their lively, fun and energetic presence on stage, they manage to mesmerize audiences. Their effervescence is combined with a truly scintillating level of musicianship shown by all the band's members when interpreting the vibrant arrangements of their songs. Unlike most Latin bands in the UK, Conjunto Sabroso is a multi-national band with members from Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Brazil and the UK. They have played all over the UK including the Gran Fiesta at the South Bank, the Brixton Festival, the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh and the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen. Conjunto Sabroso have undertaken two national tours supported by the Arts Council of England and have backed many international Salsa vocalists including Jose Mangual Jr and Adalberto Santiago of Fania All Stars. The Band are currently promoting their EP Lagrimas y Flores. |
