Aurora - the new dawn of wind quintets
Established in 1996, the Aurora Ensemble is a traditional wind quintet which
also expands to work with piano, or to explore the repertoire for wind octet.
All of its players are successful freelance musicians, working regularly with
some of the country's leading orchestras and chamber ensembles. The players are:

 | Standard requirements
All SEMS artists should be provided with good overhead lighting (or
other suitable lighting set-up for the concert), and adequate heating in
changing rooms and performance area from the beginning of the rehearsal. |
 | Technical Requirements
 |
Call Time: 4pm-6pm with
food before a 7.30pm concert. |
 |
Concert time: 2 halves of
45m and 40m. |
 |
Chairs: 5 Chairs with
flat seats. No bucket chairs. No chairs with arms or side ridges. |
 |
Music Stands: We will
bring our own unless told otherwise by the venue. |
 |
Lighting: NO standard
lamps please, just clear lighting shining clearly onto the music
from above or behind. |
 |
Dietary Requirements:
Drink - Water, Tea, Orange Juice. Gwenllian is a diabetic vegetarian
but eats fish. NO egg. |
 |
Staging: No curtains less
than 2.5 metres behind our seating area. If a pianist is used in the
concert they will need a reliable, experienced, page turner and
adequate lighting for the pianist. |

 | Complimentary Tickets
The Aurora Ensemble will require up to five complimentary tickets.
The ticket requests will be made no later than one week in advance
of the concert. |
 | Meals A light meal and
hot drinks for the artists should normally be provided by the promoter.
Water, Tea, Orange Juice. Gwenllian is a diabetic vegetarian but eats
fish. NO egg.
Please provide water and some glasses in the dressing room and on the stage. |
 | Travel The group travels
in three cars, and will need parking for their vehicles, plus one by train,
who may need picking up from the station. A clear map or directions to the venue must be provided,
including full address and postcode, and should arrive no
later than two weeks before the event. The map is most convenient if sent by
e-mail - please send it to SEMS and we will
forward it. |
