2005 sees the 60th anniversary of the foundation of Heathfield Choral Society. To celebrate, a major work is on the Programme:

Anniversary Concert - Saturday 14th May 2005, starting at 7.30pm

Brahms' "German Requiem" (sung in English)

preceded by Handel's "Zadok the Priest"

and "Five Variants of Dives and Lazarus", by Vaughan Williams

Orchestra: Camerata of London

 

  • Tickets (£10) available by calling 01435 863414

  • Venue: "State Hall" (King's Church), Station Road, Heathfield, TN21 8LD. (Ample free parking in Budgen's car park immediately behind the venue.)

In addition there is a "Singing Day" on Saturday 7th May 2005, 10am-4.30pm at the Community Hall in Sheepsetting Lane, Heathfield. Anyone who would like to try singing the Brahms Requiem is welcome to join in.
