==================== January 15th 2012 Hi all What a great day we had on Saturday when we joined forces with the Eastbourne Choral Society for a first run through of the Verdi. I imagine that, like me, you must have started the day with a certain amount of trepidation and it took a while for the choirs to relax, but after that, the sound that was created from the combined choirs was magnificent! There is still some way to go before we all feel we know the work well, but there are enough rehearsals to make this possible, and we will be dripping some of the May programme into Monday nights for those who are unable to do the Verdi, and to provide some relief from the intensity of the Requiem. Best wishes Brian ==================== November 10th 2011 Hi all, Another excellent rehearsal on Monday and I am sure we are well on track to give a great concert in December. It’s very clear that many of you are working at the music between rehearsals and that’s what makes the difference. Don’t forget that we are also singing at the Heathfield Christmas Carol Service at the King’s Church at 4.30pm on Sunday December 18th. There won’t be a rehearsal for this on the day as we will have performed the music the previous week. This is a very exciting but also a very busy season and we will be using every possible Monday to prepare for the concerts, so we will be meeting on 19th December to return to the Verdi Requiem and although 2nd January is a Bank Holiday, there will be a rehearsal for those who can make it and have finished the turkey!
